USDA APHIS Definitions
Bovine- Bos taurus, Bos indicus, and Bison bison (domestic cattle, bison).
Bovid- All members of the family Bovidae, including domestic cattle, bison, water buffalo, yak etc.
Cervid- All members of the family Cervidae and hybrids, including deer, elk, moose, caribou, reindeer, and related species.
Camelid- All species of the family Camelidae, including camels, guanacos, llamas, alpacas, and vicunas.
Prohibited- The importation of this commodity is banned by federal regulations.
Not Currently Allowed- The importation of this commodity is not currently allowed due to other foreign animal diseases of concern in the country of origin, the lack of a negotiated or updated import protocol, or the lack of a negotiated export health certificate from the country of origin. Please contact APHIS for more information.
Allowed- The importation of this commodity is permitted.

CSF- Classical Swine Fever
ASF- African Swine Fever
BSE- Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy
SVD- Swine Vesicular Disease
